Cookie policy

BeastVault Shop (beastvault.shop) is a platform by BeastVault. BeastVault is a project by WebSloth. This page explains cookies and similar storage used on BeastVault Shop.

We use cookies so the Shop can work (sign-in and market preference) and so we can measure usage with Google Analytics. We do not use advertising cookies. More on personal data is in the Privacy policy.

Essential cookies

• bv_shop_session: maintains your signed-in BeastVault Shop session. The session allows BeastVault Shop to access the limited BeastVault information needed to display your account and wishlist.
• bv_device_auth: temporary cookie used during the BeastVault sign-in process.
• bv_shop_market: remembers the market/country selected for showing relevant partner offers. The same preference may also be mirrored in local storage.
• bv_app: remembers whether the Shop is being viewed from the BeastVault app so the appropriate interface can be displayed.

Local preferences

• bv_shop_cookie_notice (local storage): remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice so it is not shown repeatedly.
• bv_shop_geo (session storage): caches a country suggestion derived from network headers / IP lookup for the current browser session.
• bv_shop_geo_hint_dismissed (local storage): remembers that you dismissed the market suggestion hint.

Analytics

• We use privacy-focused, cookieless analytics (Plausible) operated on our own infrastructure. This analytics service does not use cookies or persistent cross-site identifiers.
• Google Analytics is always enabled and helps us understand traffic and usage patterns. It may use cookies such as _ga and related identifiers. You can limit it with Google's browser opt-out add-on.

Affiliate redirects

When you choose a partner offer, BeastVault Shop records limited referral information before redirecting you to the independent retailer. The retailer may then use its own cookies and technologies under its own cookie and privacy policies.

How to delete them

You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings. That can remove Google Analytics cookies as well as Shop preferences. Essential cookies may be recreated when needed for the Shop to function. Clearing the session cookie signs you out. Clearing the market preference resets your saved country selection.
